The Pandemic really threw a wrench into a lot of couples’ weddings including Genna and AJ’s Wedding. They had to make the extremely hard decision to postpone their 2020 wedding to May 2021. While I know it was a difficult choice, I believe that due to the extra amount of time, we were able to give Genna and AJ their dream wedding.
How Moments to Remembered Help
I help the happy couple cut down costs by finding them alternative options for their florals. Genna and AJ REALLY wanted real flowers, but it was out of their budget. I showed them a couple of examples of silk flower arrangements that were well within their budget, that they could use for centerpieces and floral accents throughout their wedding space. Once they saw that the silk flowers could look just as good as the real flowers and at a fraction of the cost, they quickly changed their minds and move forward with silk flowers for centerpieces and ceremony space décor. However, they still wanted real flowers for their bouquets and boutonnieres. To help with this we bought flowers from a wholesaler and then Moments to Remember put the florals together the morning of their wedding. I think the combination of the silk flowers and real flowers was the perfect remedy for making sure they got the flowers elements that they wanted without having to pay an arm and leg. This lets them put more money towards photographer and videography.
Another way we helped cut costs was by proving décor rentals to the couple at no additional cost. Genna and AJ chose my Day of Coordination Package with Finishing Touches. This package comes with free décor rentals from my warehouse. They choose to use my milk jugs with pink sage florals, two rustic 6-pane windows for their seating chart, a rustic window card box, beautiful fake floral centerpieces, votives, table numbers, real wax flameless candles, and custom signage. All in all, the items that they choose to use out of my inventory saved them around $2,000 in rental costs and/or the cost of buy/making it themselves.
The Small Personal Details
During the receptions, there were a lot of little details that we added to make sure the wedding felt like and represented Genna and AJ. There were tiny details like a small black dog figurine that we added to the cake to make it look like their dog, Addison, was eating the cake to special dances between Genna and AJ and their kids. AJ and Bexlie have a special song that they like to listen to and dance to at home so we decided that the kids should each get a special dance with their parents. Bexlie and AJ danced together to Lady by Brett Young and Genna and Parker had the cutest dance together to Boy by Lee Brice.
Once the festivities were done Moments to Remember packed up all the décor and made sure all of Genna and AJ items were packed into a car they wanted, and we all drove away from the event happy. It was a very successful wedding with very few hiccups. Moments to Remember was happy that we could provide Genna and AJ with their perfect wedding day and we loved working with them! We wish them the very best and all the happiest in their future together.
